IF you didn't get ready to sow grass seed last month, the quicker want to keep land in grass for it is done now the better. If you hay, about the best crop in New England at the present time, it can be ploughed up and re-seeded

and if the work is well now, done, as it ought to be, success is almost certain. But grass seed sown on land newly broken up ought to have the use of a liberal top-dressing of manure to give it thrifty start.
