Served in the Zulu war of 1879 as Chief Paymaster (promoted Staff Paymaster, Medal with Clasp, and CMG.) Lennox served in the Burmese war of 1852-53 (Medal) Moore served in Southern Afghanistan in 1880, and was present during the siege of Candahar (mentioned Leut.General Primrose's despatches, Medal). Major Carden served with the 77th Regiment in the Crimean campaign from December 1854 to 26th March 15, including the siege of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Feilden served in the Indian Mutiny campaign of 1857-58 with the 42nd Highlanders, including Cawnpore (6th Dec. 1857), Seraighat, Kudygunge, and Shumsabad, siege and fall of Lucknow, and assault Martiniere and Banks' Bungalow (Medal with Clasp). Major Hignett served with the 81st Regiment in the Afghan war in 1878-79, and was present at the capture Ali Masjid (Medal with Clasp). Major G. W. Smith served with the 1st West India Regiment in the Ashanti War of 1873-74 (Medal). Served Major Briggs served in the 9th Regiment in the Crimea from 29th November 1854, including the siege and fal siege and fall of Sebastopol, attack on the Quarries on the 8th June, and assaults of the Redan on the 18th June and 8th Sept. Simpson served throughout the Abyssinian campaign, and was present at the action of Arog and capture of Magdala (Medal). 104 Major Samuel E. Wood served with the 93rd Highlanders in the Indian campaign of 1857-58, including the relief of Lucknow by Lord Clyde (severely wounded), battle of Cawnpore on 6th Dec. 1857, siege and capture of Lucknow, attack on the Fort of Rewah, action of Alligunge, and capture of Bareilly (Medal with two Clasps). 105 Captain Caine served on the North-West Frontier during the Indian mutiny in 1857-59 (Medal). 106 Major Balders served with the King's Dragoon Guards in the Zulu war of 1879 (Medal with Clasp). 108 Captain Ward served in the Ashanti war of 1873-4, including the defence of Fommanah (Medal with Clasp). 110 Captain John Brown served with the 17th Lancers throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the affairs of Bulganak and M'Kenzie's Farm, battles of Alma, Balaklava (severely wounded and horse killed), and Tchernaya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal). Served in the campaign in Central India in 1858-59, and was present at the action of Burode (Medal). Served with the 17th Lancers as Paymaster in the Zulu war of 1879. Captain Lane served with the 4th Dragoon Guards in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present in the engagement at Kassasin on the 9th September (Medal). 112 Captain Bromfield served in New Zealand during General Chute's campaign of 1866 Medal). 114 Captain Webb commanded the Ladder Party at the assault of Beyt on oth October, and served with the Okamundel Field Force in the operations before Dwarka till 11th Nov. 1859. 115 Mr. Burgess served in the latter part of the Kafir war of 1878. Served also in the operations against Sekukuni in 1878 and in 1879, in the latter case as Chief Paymaster of the forces employed (Medal with Clasp). 116 Mr. C. F. H. Beardmore served in the Ashanti war of 1873-4, including the action of Essaman and battle of Amoaful (mentioned in despatches, Medal with Clasp). Has received the Bronze Medal of the Royal Humane Society for saving the life of a native Coolie from drowning during the Ashanti campaign in 1873. |
