TO PATRONS..AND. CQRRESPONDENTS. Again old Fathes Temd brings: roládother agup, and with it the "Old Farmers' Almanac.” We have t8 thank our friends for their continued favor, and to express our hope that we may contime to deserve it: It is our aim to make the Almanac accurate and trustworthy, but tortogrpeng into all books, and ours may not be entirely free from them. We shall be greatly obiged to any of our friends if they will inform us of any inaccuracy, bowerer slight, in any part of the Almanas. The tides are given on the quarter hour nearest the actual time, as in the last few years.

The times of meeting of the County Commissioners are given by themselves, as a matter of convenience, on page 5, where is also, a list of Registers in Bankzupley, for New England.

Our agricultural articles win be found worthy the attention of al} interested in that subject. We commend also to the notice of our New England farmers the article on Birds and Insects, page 44. The schedule of Stamp Duties, on pages 42 and 48, and the table of Post Office Regulations, on page 48, will be mseful for reference.

The list of Colleges and Professional Schools, on page 4, has been made those complete, and the Normal Schools have been added.

Any one having a perfect copy of the Alanac for 1793, 1795, os 1807, will find a purchaser by addressing the publishers.

We close in the words of the founder of this Aimanae, "It is by ow Work, and not by our words, we would be judged: these, we hope, will metaisa tus to the humble though proud station we have so long hello
