NOTE. In the early part of Hilary Term 1846, the Right Honorable EDWARD PENNEFATHER, Lord Chief Justice, resigned; the Right Honorable FRANCIS BLACKBURNE, Master of the Rolls, was appointed his successor. The Right Honorable THOMAS BERRY CUSACK SMITH, her Majesty's Attorney-General, was appointed Master of the Rolls; RICHARD WILSON GREENE, her Majesty's Solicitor-General, was appointed Attorney-General; and ABRAHAM BREWSTER, Esq., Q. C., was appointed her Majesty's Solicitor-General. Shortly after Trinity Term 1846, the Right Honorable Sir EDWARD BURTENSHAW SUGDEN, Lord High Chancellor, resigned the Seals, and the Right Honorable RICHARD WILSON GREENE and ABRAHAM BREWSTER, Esq., resigned their respective offices of Attorney-General and Solicitor-General, the Right Honorable DAVID RICHARD PIGOT was thereupon appointed her Majesty's Attorney-General, and RICHARD MOORE, Esq., Q. C., Solicitor-General. On the 13th of July following, the Right Honorable MAZIERE BRADY, Lord Chief Baron, was appointed Lord High Chancellor; the Right Honorable DAVID RICHARD PIGOT was appointed Lord Chief Baron; the Right Honorable RICHARD MOORE was appointed AttorneyGeneral, and JAMES HENRY MONAHAN, Esq., Q. C., was appointed SolicitorGeneral.
