4 The whole triumphant host
Give thanks to God on high;

"Hail, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!"
They ever cry.

Hail, Abraham's God and ours!
We join the heavenly lays,
And celebrate, with all our powers,
His endless praise.

The Name of Jesus.

row sweet the name of Jesus sounds

H In a believer's ear!

It soothes his sorrows, heals his wounds,
And drives away his fear.

2 It makes the wounded spirit whole,
And calms the troubled breast;
Tis manna to the hungry soul,
And to the weary rest.

3 Dear name! the Rock on which I build,
My Shield and Hiding-place,
My never-failing Treasury, fill'd
With boundless stores of grace.

4 Jesus, my Saviour, Shepherd, Friend,
My Prophet, Priest, and King,
My Lord, my Life, my Way, my End,
Accept the praise I bring.

5 Weak is the effort of my heart,
And cold my warmest thought;
But when I see Thee as Thou art,
I'll praise Thee as I ought.

6 Till then I would thy love proclaim,
With ev'ry fleeting breath;

And may the music of thy name
Refresh my soul in death.

Worthy the Lamb.

YOME, let us join our cheerful songs
With angels round the throne;
Ten thousand thousand are their tongues,
But all their joys are one.

2 "Worthy the Lamb that died," they cry,
"To be exalted thus:

"Worthy the Lamb," our lips reply,
For He was slain for us."

3 Jesus is worthy to receive

Honour and power divine;

And blessings more than we can give
Be, Lord, for ever thine.

4 Let all that dwell above the sky,
And air, and earth, and seas,
Conspire to lift thy glories high,
And speak thine endless praise.

5 The whole creation join in one,
To bless the sacred name
Of Him that sits upon the throne,
And to adore the Lamb.

Heaven our Home.

E are but strangers here;

WE Heaven is our home!

Earth is a desert drear;

Heaven is our home!

Danger and sorrow stand
Round us on every hand;
Heaven is our father-land,

Heaven is our home!

2 What though the tempest rage!
Heaven is our home!

Short is our pilgrimage;

Heaven is our home!

And time's wild wintry blast
Soon will be overpast;

We shall reach home at last;
Heaven is our home!

3 There at our Saviour's side,

Heaven is our home!

We shall be glorified;

Heaven is our home!

There with the good and blest,
Those we've loved most and best,
We shall for ever rest;

Heaven is our home!

4 Therefore we'll murmur not,

Heaven is our home!

Whate'er our earthly lot,

Heaven is our home!

For we shall surely stand

There at our Lord's right hand;
Heaven is our father-land,

B

Heaven is our home!

Communion of Saints.

EHOLD th' innumerable host
Of angels clothed in light!
Behold the spirits of the just,
Whose faith is turned to sight!
2 Behold the blessed assembly there,
Whose names are writ in heaven!
And God, the judge of all, declares
Their vilest sins forgiven.

3 The saints on earth, and all the dead,
But one communion make;
All join in Christ, their living head,
And of his grace partake.

My weary soul would rest:
The man that dwells where Jesus is,
Must be for ever blest.

Consecration to Christ.

TESUS, all-atoning Lamb,

JES

Thine, and only thine, I am;
Take my body, spirit, soul;
Only Thou posess the whole.

2 Whom have I on earth below?
Thee and only Thee I know ;
Whom have I in heaven but Thee?
Thou art all in all to me.

3 All my treasure is above;
All my riches is thy love:

Who the worth of love can tell?
Infinite, unsearchable!

Our Heavenly Friend.

WHA

HAT shall we render,

Thou heavenly Friend, to Thee,

For care so tender,

For love so free?

What shall we give ? for all we love

Thy rich and bounteous hands bestow ;

From Thee, the source of joy and love,

All life and blessing flow.

What shall we render, &c.

Lo! the lofty mountains
High to Thee their summits raise ;
Sweet sparkling fountains
Whisper thy praise.

The pleasant fruits, the smiling flowers,
To Thee their grateful tribute bring;
And cheerful birds, with all their powers,
To Thee sweet anthems sing.

What shall we render, &c.

Earth's thousand voices
Warble thy lovely name,

Nature rejoices

Praise to proclaim.

Since He who first our spirits gave,

To live when all things else shall die,
When wanderers lost, our souls to save,
Came down from realms on high ;
What shall we render, &c.

Heaven's joyful chorus

Sounds forth thy glorious praise ;

Join, ye redeemed ones,

Earth's song to raise.

To God the Father praise we'll give,
To God the Son, who brought us nigh,
To God the Spirit, while we live ;
Then swell the song on high.

Praise thus we'll render, &c.

God our Guardian.

E that hath God his guardian made,
He shall under the Almighty's shade

Secure and undisturbed abide :
Thus to my soul of Him I'll say,
He is my fortress and my stay,

My God in whom I will confide.
