Provide for the Withdrawal from the College of
Maynooth of any Endowment out of the Con-
solidated Fund, due Regard being had to vested
Rights or Interests.

HEREAS the Privilege of Incorporation and the Powers Preamble. and Immunities conferred on the Trustees of the College 8 & 9 Vict. of Maynooth, and the Grant authorized by an Act passed in the Session of Parliament holden in the Eighth and Ninth Years of 5 Her present Majesty, Chapter Twenty-five, ought to be discontinued : Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority of the same,

II. Provided always, That the several Persons who at the Time of Saving Rights of the passing of this Act shall be Members of the said Corporation shall Visiting be and continue Trustees of the said College, and shall have all such Trustees.

Powers and Authorities as to the Government of the said College, the Supply of Vacancies in their Number, and the acquiring and holding of Lands, and all other the Rights, Privileges, and Immunities which were lawfully possessed and enjoyed by the Trustees of the said College at the Time of the passing of the said Act, and that all Property which may have been acquired by or on behalf of the said College by virtue of the Provisions hereby repealed, and all other the Property of the said College, shall be and the same is hereby vested in and shall continue to remain the Property of the said Trustees.

III. Subject to the Payment from Time to Time of such Sums as 10 will enable the said Trustees, who are hereby empowered to receive and apply the same, to continue the Provisions contemplated by the under recited said recited Act to the Students actually resident in the said College Act, the Grant from at the Time of the passing of this Act until the Expiration of the Consolidated usual Term of Residence as Students, not exceeding Eight Years 15 from the Time of their Entry respectively, and to continue the Provision mentioned in such Act towards the Salaries of the President and Vice-President, Officers, and Professors of such College until such Students Term of Residence shall have expired as aforesaid, so much of the said recited Act as is comprised within the Fourth, 20 Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh Sections of the same, with reference to the Payments of the Salaries of the President, Vice-President, Officers, and Professors, and the Expense of Commons, Attendance, and other Necessaries to be supplied for their Use, and of Provision for the Students, and of the Expenses of 25 Commons and other Necessaries in respect of the Students, and for the Construction and Furnishing of the Buildings of the said College, shall be, and the same is hereby repealed, and, except as aforesaid, it shall not be lawful for the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to pay any further Moneys out of the Consolidated Fund of the 30 United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, or any other Public Fund, to the Trustees of the said College of Maynooth.

Repealing certain

Sections of

IV. The Fourteenth, Fifteenth, Sixteenth, Seventeenth, Eighteenth, and Nineteenth Sections of the said Act, which relate to the Appointrecited Act. ment of Visitors, the holding of Visitations, the Authority of such 35 Visitors, the Visitorial Power and the keeping of the Minutes of such Visitors, shall be and the same are hereby repealed.
