THE first part of this Catalogue was issued in 1866, at which time we hoped to be able to prepare the succeeding parts so that the whole might be completed in a year or two. This has not been found practicable, and we therefore issue the whole with an Index, hoping that it may sometimes prove of use for suggestion or reference. Considerable additions have been made to our stock during the last twelve years, and lists of such additions issued from time to time. We shall be glad to send to managers of Public Libraries and book-buyers, at home or abroad, all lists of future purchases, or to make search for books that may not be in our own stock. A Catalogue of books printed at or relating to Cambridge is now in preparation. We are at all times prepared to buy saleable books for cash, and to give prompt attention to any communications from executors or others having books to dispose of. CAMBRIDGE, August, 1878.
