Book of Parlour Games

Originally published in 1854, this book of games was translated from the French to sell in America. American Victorians loved parlor activities which allowed the old and young alike to participate. The volume includes numerous games of motion (requiring movement), attention, memory, and gallantry. Games are carefully explained, and those requiring questions, are provided with a key of answers. A brief preface and several illustrations are included.
