SCRIPTURE QUESTIONS FOR MARCH.

ON THE LIFE OF ST. PAUL.

1.-Which chapters in the Acts tell of St. Paul's first missionary journey? How was he called to this mission ?

2.-Connected with Acts xxiii. 14, 21, what proof does Acts xiii. 2 give of the oneness of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost? 3-In what letters does St. Paul speak of being separated and called to the Gospel of his missionary calling being a grace (or favour) shown to him by God?

4.-How did the church at Antioch strengthen Paul and Barnabas for their missionary work? In what letter does St. Paul ask Christians to join him in prayer for his safety; to pray for him and his fellow-missionaries that they may have power and success in preaching the Gospel ? Where does he speak confidently of their prayers for himself being answered ?

5. The instrument which the Apostles used for the conversion of souls is mentioned nine times in Acts xiii. and xiv.; can you find the passages? To what weapon does St. Paul twice compare it?

6.-Who accompanied St. Paul on his journey from Antioch ?

7.-What two towns in Cyprus did the Apostles visit? Was the Gospel message brought then for the first time to the island?

8.-In what three places on their journey did God "bear witness" to the Apostles' teaching by "signs and wonders"? Can you see any connexion between the sin and the punishment of Elymas? Where do we read of sorcerers who acknowledged the "finger of God" in the miracles wrought by His servants ?

9.-Show from Acts xiii. and xiv. to whom St. Paul first carried the Gospel in each town, and by whom he was most violently opposed. What feeling are we told caused this opposition?

10. To what town did the missionaries journey from Cyprus? What occurred there ?

11.-Which two verses sum up the "glad tidings" which St. Paul brought to Antioch in Pisidia? By what two means did the Jews seek to drive away the Apostles from Antioch ?'

12.-What promise made by Jesus was fulfilled to the believer in Antioch (Acts xiii. 52)?
