THIS Third Edition has followed the method adopted by the original Author. Cases rendered obsolete by subsequent decisions or statutes have not been entirely omitted, but are recorded merely by a headnote, with a footnote referring to the decision or statute superseding them. This course has been preferred to total omission for three reasons, which seem cogent to me as a Revising Barrister, familiar with the needs, and anxious to study the convenience, of persons engaged in Registration work. Firstly, because the book thereby is a more complete record of both past and present law on the subject, and a more comprehensive register of its course.
