GENERAL OBSERVATIONS ON THE HISTORICAL BOOKS. This division of the Sacred Writings comprises twelve , of Israel and Judah in the books of Samuel and Kings, and books; viz. from Joshua to Esther inclusive: the first seven also to the books of Gad, Nathan, and Iddo.
