The year 1282 of the Mahommedan Era commences on May 27, 1865. ECLIPSES IN 1865. During the year 1865 there will be four Eclipses-two of the Sun, and two of the Moon. 1st. A partial Eclipse of the Moon, which will take place on the morning of the 11th April, commencing at 3h. 45m., ends 5h. 31m., and will be visible in England. 2nd. A total Eclipse of the Sun, on the 25th April, but is not visible in Europe, but will be seen in Africa, South America, and the South Atlantic Ocean. 3rd. A partial Eclipse of the Moon, on the night of the 4th October, commencing at 9h 39m., ends 11h. 41m., visible in Europe. 4th. An Annular Eclipse of the Sun, which takes place on the afternoon of 19th October, commencing at 1h. 25m., ends 7h. 17m., and is visible in parts of Europe, Africa, America, and the North Atlantic Ocean. When any of the days between the Thursday before and the Wednesday next after Easter day fall within Easter Term, the Sittings in Easter Term are suspended, and the Term prolonged for an equal number of days; whilst the commencement of Trinity Term is postponed, and its continuance prolonged for the like period.
