THE LONDON

ASSURANCE CORPORATION,

Established by Royal Charter in the reign of King George the First, have been

Effecting Insurances on Lives since the year 1721.

The Governors and Directors of this Corporation have greatly enlarged their system of Life Assurance, and invite public attention to their new prospectus. In addition to their system of an annual abatement after five payments have been made, they have established a new series of Life Assurance under ten Participating Tables, wherein a Bonus will be added to the Policy at the expiration of five years, or the present value of it will be paid in Cash, or the Premiums will be reduced for the following five years or for the whole term of life, at the option of the assured at the periods of the quinquennial division, the first of which will take place at the end of the year 1850.

One amongst the many advantages offered by this Corporation is that the Assured are exempt from the charges of Management, these charges being paid by the Corporation out of their share of the profits.

Premiums for short period Assurances, forming a very moderate scale, have been founded on the basis of the Non-Participating Table.

The rates for all other ages, and a detailed Prospectus, containing their very liberal conditions, and the rates under their nine other Tables, may be had on application at their offices, 7, Royal Exchange, Cornhill, and 10, Regent-street; and of any of the Corporation Agents in Great Britain and Ireland.

Fire Assurances are effected at the lowest rates.

The benefits to the Shareholders will be, that out of the funds of the society they will receive on the capital actually paid up £5 per cent. interest, payable halfyearly, with a bonus of £50 per cent. on paying off the last moiety of the capital. It is proposed to appoint local Directors, chiefly of the medical and legal professions, with a view to the ultimate establishment of provincial boards. The qualification will be 20 shares, or an assurance for life of £500. ANNUAL PREMIUMS FOR ASSURING £100.

Credit until death, with privilege of payment at any time previously, for one half of the premiums for the first five years, upon assurances for the whole of life-a plan peculiarly advantageous for securing loans.

2. In loan transactions the lender secured against the risk of the borrower going out of Europe.

3. Sums assured to become payable at given ages or death, if previous. 4. Policies indefeasible; fraud alone, not error, vitiating them; and in case the Renewal Premium remain unpaid, the Assurance may be revived at any time within six months, upon satisfactory proof of health and payment of a trifling fine. 5. Officers in the Army and Navy, and persons residing abroad, or proceeding to any part of the world, assured at low rates.

6. Immediate, Survivorship, and Deferred Annuities granted; and Endowments for Children, and every other mode of provision for families arranged. Information and Prospectuses furnished on application at the office. JOSEPH BERRIDGE, Secretary.
