IMPORTANT

INFORMATION. UNPRINCIPLED SHOPKEEPERS, for the sake of gaining a trifle more profit, vend the most SPURIOUS COMPOUNDS, under the same names; some under the implied sanction of Royalty; they copy the labels, bills, advertisements and testimonials (substituting fictitious names and addresses for the real) of the original preparations, and use either the word "GENUINE," or a FEIGNED name, in the place of "ROWLAND'S." It is therefore highly necessary to see that the word " ROWLAND'S" is on the wrapper of each article. All others are FRAUDULENT IMITATIONS. The genuine Preparations are Sold by the Proprietors, A, Rowland & Son, 20, Hatton Garden, London, And by Chemists and Perfumers.

MR. W. R. WOOD,

DENTIST, ETC.

7, GERMAN PLACE, BRIGHTON.

Mr. Wood most respectfully directs the attention of the Nobility, Gentry and Public in general, to his peculiar mode of constructing and fitting NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL TEETH, from one to a whole set. Mr. W.'s method perfects the Mouth, greatly improves the appearance of the Countenance, and completely restores the means of articulation and mastication, which the loss of Teeth always impairs.

Mr. W. further assures those who may favor him with their visits, that they may faithfully rely on his effecting the above salutary results without the extraction of stumps, or causing the slighest pain or inconvenience; he also guarantees their great durability and perfect comfort in wear, avoiding those front fastenings which (when apparent) are so very disfiguring to the mouth.

Salivary Calculus, or Tartar, is an earthy matter deposited on the Teeth from the Saliva, and is of so truly destructive a nature that Mr. W. feels it deeply incumbent on him to call the attention of the Public to it. The Tartar grows in scales on the necks and interstices of the Teeth, gives a very unpleasant fetor to the Breath, and by its corroding and vitiating qualities destroys the Gums and Sockets of the Teeth, deprives them of their natural support, and causes them to fall out prematurely. Mr. W.'s skilful and simple method of removing this deposit, and restoring the Teeth and Gums to health and beauty, is of so easy a nature to the Patient, that the cure is effected without the slightest pain. To those who are totally unacquainted with his system of Scaling Teeth, Mr. Wood feels it necessary to say thus much, in order to remove a very erroneous impression which sometimes exists that the operation is both painful and injurious.

Stopping the Teeth with Gold, &c. &c.-This necessary operation when performed at a proper period of a Tooth's decay, will preserve it for many years, thereby preventing the excruciating and protracted pain of Tooth Ache, and the necessity for extraction.

Every operation connected with Dental Surgery performed with attention and care.

Irregularities in Children's Teeth removed and prevented.

TO STRANGERS.-Confidential references are permitted by several of Mr. W.'s patients who have received the benefits of his professional treatment. Charges strictly moderate. That all may avail themselves of aid in every branch of Dentistry, Mr. W. makes no charge for consultations.
