YOUNG, 8 & 9 FIRST STREET. 1875. SEMI-CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION OF THE Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. RESOLUTION. At a meeting of the Association of Graduates of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, held June 26th, 1872, the following resolution was adopted, viz: WHEREAS, It is deemed expedient to take suitable notice of the close of the first fifty years' work of the Institute. RESOLVED, That Prof. Charles Drowne, Prof. H. B. Nason, Charles F. Winslow, Rev. J. H. Brodt and W. H. Doughty, be a committee to make all necessary arrangements for a semi-centennial celebration. At a meeting of the Association, held June 18th, 1873, it was resolved that the services of the above committee be continued, in connection with the Directors, for the ensuing year. At a meeting of the graduates, former students and friends of the Institute, residing in Troy, held at the Board of Trade Rooms, April 23d, 1874, Dr. R. B. Bontecou in the Chair, A. J. Swift, Secretary, the following local sub-committees were appointed : |
