To meet the requirements of the age, the Maps of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge have been issued singly, as well as in Atlases, and a most extensive sale has been the result, enabling the Proprietors to keep them in the highest state of accuracy, and, when necessary, to add New Maps. London has been engraved three times since the original Plan was published. Lately has been issued an entirely New Map of the Australian Colonies, showing the Gold Regions of Australia, its divisions in Counties, and the Distances by Sea to the most important parts of the Globe; and in the Maps which contain the whole or any part of the Arctic Regions the latest discoveries have been inserted.
