Her Ladyship's father, FRANCIS, FIRST LORD, was b. 9 Aug. 1757, created a Baronet in 1779, raised to the Peerage in 1796, by the title of Baron de Dunstanville of Tehidy, Co. Cornwall, and in 1797, created Baron Basset, with remainder to his daughter, Frances Basset, and her heirs male; m. 1st, 16 May 1780, FrancesSusannah, daughter and co-heir of John-Hippesley Coxe, Esq., of Stone Easton, Somerset, by whom, who d. 14 June 1823, he had issue, an only daughter, Frances, present Baroness; and 2ndly, 13 July 1824, HARRIET, 4th daughter of the late Sir William Lemon, Bart., DowAGER LADY DE DUNSTANVILLE. His lordship d. 5 Feb. 1835, without male issue, when the Barony of De Dunstanville became extinct.
