1 PETER ii. 15-17. So is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men as free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

Fourth Sunday after Easter.

The Christian aim.

DEUT. v. 29. O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear Me, and keep all My commandments always that it might be well with them and with their children, for ever!

Fifth Sunday after Easter.

Think and perform those things that be good.

JAMES i. 27. Pure religion and un

defiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Sunday after Ascension Day.
Not comfortless.

JOHN XV. 26, 27. When the Comforter is come, Whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, Which proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me: and ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with Me from the beginning.

Whit Sunday.

The gift of the Holy Spirit.

JOHN xiv. 26. The Comforter, Which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Trinity Sunday.

The glory of the Eternal Trinity.

REV. iv. 8. They rest not day and night, saying, Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, Which was, and is, and is to

come.

First Sunday after Trinity.

Keep God's Commandments.

1 JOHN iv. 21. This commandment
have we from Him, that he who loveth
God love his brother also.

Second Sunday after Trinity.
Perpetual love of God's Holy Name.

1 JOHN iii. 18. My little children, let
us not love in word, neither in tongue; but
in deed and in truth.

Third Sunday after Trinity.

Mighty aid to all who pray.

1 PET. v. 6, 7. Humble yourselves under
the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt
you in due time: casting all your care
upon Him; for He careth for you.

Fourth Sunday after Trinity.

God our ruler and guide.

1 SAM. xii. 14. If ye will fear the Lord,
and serve Him, and obey His voice, and
not rebel against the commandment of the
Lord, then shall both ye and also the king
that reigneth over you continue following
the Lord your God.

Fifth Sunday after Trinity.

Joyful service in godly quietness.

1 PET. iii. 10. He that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace and ensue it. Sirth Sunday after Trinity.

Good things prepared.

ROM. vi. 8, 9, 11. If we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him; knowing that Christ being raised from the dead, dieth no more. Likewise reckon yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Seventh Sunday after Trinity.

Nourished with all goodness.

ROM. vi. 22. Now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Eighth Sunday after Trinity.

Things hurtful things profitable.

MATT. vii. 21. Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the

kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father Which is in heaven.

Ninth Sunday after Trinity.

Live according to God's Will.

1 KINGS xi. 9, 10. The Lord was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the Lord God of Israel, Which had appeared unto him twice, and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the Lord commanded. Tenth Sunday after Trinity.

1 KINGS Xvii. 22. The Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived. Eleventh Sunday after Trinity. The measure of God's grace.

1 COR. XV. 10. By the grace of God I am what I am. His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain. I laboured more abundantly than they all, yet not I but the grace of God which was with

me.
