THE KORAN.

Facsimile of a part of the third page of a sumptuous
manuscript copy of the Koran, preserved in
the Royal Library at Berlin.

The text is from the second half of the first Sura or division of
the Koran, and reads: ".. call for help. Lead us in
the straight path; the path of those to whom

thou showest mercy, with whom thou

art not angered, and who do not

wander in the dark."

Probably of the XVIth Century.
