There will be four Eclipses this year, two of the SUN and two of the MOON, and a Transit of Mercury.

I. AN ANNULAR ECLIPSE OF THE SUN, Feb. 2, invisible in the United States, visible in Australia and the Antarctic Ocean.

II. A PARTIAL ECLIPSE OF THE MOON, Feb. 17, visible in the United States. At Boston it begins at 4h, 58m. A. M. Moon sets eclipsed.

III. A TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN, July 29, visible in the United States. The total eclipse begins in Siberia, crosses Behring Strait, through Alaska, near Mt. St. Elias, the western part of British America, east of Salt Lake, New Mexico, and reaches the Gulf of Mexico near Galveston, Texas Visible in New England as a Partial Eclipse only, as follows:
