PREFACE. THE twelve sermons in this small volume were preached extempore, and consequently are not free from those defects which are common to all such discourses. The preacher had pleasure in preaching them; some persons were profited in hearing them; and others have been blessed in reading them. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory, majesty, might, and power, before all time, and now, and to all eternity, through JESUS CHRIST Our Lord. Amen. July, 1876. J. B. |
