THE Editor of this little Work, being engaged some short time since to argue a point arising upon the construction to be given to some of the clauses of this Municipal Corporation Act, found that three copies of the Act, produced upon that occasion, and all printed by the King's Printer, namely, the usual Folio Copy, the small Quarto Copy, printed for and usually sent to Magistrates, and a small Copy in Duodecimo, varied from each other very materially, in one or two at least, of the sections then under consideration. He did not examine them further, and of course cannot say, whether there were similar variances in other sections; but this was sufficient |
