The Marble Faun, Or, Or The Romance of Monte Beni Duke Classics, 2012 Though Nathaniel Hawthorne is best remembered as the author of the quintessential American parable The Scarlet Letter , some of the New England writer's work was much less formal and traditional than that novel.
