INFI

INFINITIVE MOOD. .

Present.

Preterperfect. To be loved.

| To have been loved. PARTICIPLE. Preterperfect. Loved.

Those verbs which do not make the preterperfect tense and the participle perfect in ed, are called irregular verbs; this irregularity is only in the preter tenses, in all other respects they are conjugated like regular verbs.

It is very common with the best writers to change the regular termination ed into t; as, stopt, puft, fut, mixt; for stopped, puffed, fixed, mixed.
