Or in English thus.
Psalm 90.

E that dwelleth in the aid of the most High, shall abide under the protection of the God of heaven.

He shall say to the Lord: Thou art my protector and my refuge: my God, in him will I trust.

For he hath delivered me from the snare of the hunters: and from the sharp word.

He will overshadow thee with his shoulders and under his wings thou shalt trust.

His truth shall compass thee with a shield: thou shalt not be afraid of the terror of the night.

Of the arrow that flieth by day; of the business that walketh about in the dark; of invasion, or of the noon day devil.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand : but it shall not come nigh to thee.

But thou shalt consider with thy eyes and shalt see the reward of the wicked.

Because thou, O Lord, art my hope thou hast made the Most High thy refuge.

There shall no evil come near to thee nor shall the scourge come near thy dwelling.

For he hath given his angels a charge concerning thee: to keep thee in all thy ways.

They shall bear thee up in their hands: lest thou dash thy foot. against a stone.

Thou shalt walk upon the asp, and the basilisk and thou shalt trample upon the lion and the dragon.

Because he hath hoped in me I will deliver him: I will protect him because he hath known my name.

He shall call upon me and I will hear him I am with him in his trouble: I will deliver him and will glorify him...

I will fill him with length of days and will shew him my salvation.

O God, who art the singular refuge of human infirmity, shew forth of thy protection upon this thy servant that being assisted by the help of thy mercy, he may with safety and health be restored again to thy holy Church.

Grant, we beseech thee, O Lord God, that this thy servant may enjoy perpetual health of body and peace of mind; and that by the intercession of the ever blessed Virgin Mary, he may be delivered from his present sorrow, and obtain eternal joy. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. R. Amen.

The Litanies and such other approved prayers as the Priest shall think proper, and the sick person shall desire, may also be said; at the end of which the Priest shall bless the sick person according to this form:

May the blessing of Almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, descend upon you, and remain always with you. R. Amen.

Modus juvandi Morientes.
