D., Bishop of Indiana: It becomes my duty to report to you the ministerial work in which I am employed. I have been engaged, for something more than one year and a half, in the discharge of the appropriate duties of the Chaplaincy of the Army of the U. S. A. I have conducted Divine service every Sunday when the circumstances attending the Regiment with which I am connected, would permit. I have furnished the soldiers under my charge with the New Testament Scriptures, as often as they were destitute of them, and a large amount of other religious reading. I have administered physical and spiritual aid to the sick and wounded, as far as I have had the means and opportu nity; and I have assisted in the burial of many of our brave soldiers upon the battle field, or in the grave-yard connected with our Hospitals. I have aimed to discharge my duty as a Chaplain, and leave the result of my work with God. N. P. CHARLOT, Chaplain 22d Regt. Ind. Vet. Vols. 200+ Infant. Confirmed. Communicants.
