John bare witness of him.-He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose. I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

WHEN therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and a baptized more disciples than John,
