JONES'S PATENT FLOUR,

AN INVALUABLE ARTICLE FOR PRODUCING IN A FEW MINUTES,

WITHOUT FERMENTATION, A

ALSO

MOST NUTRITIOUS & WHOLESOME BREAD,

Biscuits, Biscuit Powder, Cakes, Pastry, &c. Rendering it of great importance to all, particularly to Seafaring Men, Ship Passengers, Residents in the Country, Invalids, Dyspeptics, &c.

G. H. EDWARDS, BISCUIT BAKER & CONFECTIONER, 29, LITTLEWORTH,

Licensed Patentee for Gloucester.

OPINION OF “THE LANCET." The leading Medical Periodical of the day, The Lancet, of June 6th, 1846, speaks thus decisively of the Patent Flour :

“ We agree with Mr. Herapath, in considering that Jones's Patent Flour is one of the most valuable inventions of the age; that is, if we are to estimate its worth by the influence it is likely to exercise on the health and daily comfort of immense masses of persons. Provided with the Patent Flour and water, and the means of making a fire, new and beautiful bread may, within two hours, be in the hands of the sailor on the ocean, or the traveller on the mountain or in the wilderness. The general introduction of Jones's Patent Flour into use must lead to a complete revo lotion in the present system of baking Bread and Biscuits. We repeat that, judging of the utility of Mr. Jones's invention by the numbers whom it is calculated to gratify and benefit, its value could hardly be over-estimated.

G. H. EDWARDS feels great pleasure in announcing to the Merchants, Cap tains, and Inhabitants generally of Gloucester, that he can supply them witb " JONES'S PATENT FLOUR in any quantities; having secured the LICENSB POR ITS MANUFACTURE for this City and Neighbourhood.

The Bread manufactured from the PATENT FLOUR, not being fermented, will keep good a far greater length of time than any other; is more nutritious; remarkably easy of digestion; and has proved a most important aid to the Medical Profession, in the treatment of various diseases.

For SEA STORES its value is at once apparent; and whilst by its use the Cabta can at all times command the luxury of New Bread, experience has proved that the PATENT FLOUR is a great addition to the comforts of the Seamen, by the inexpen, sive but very superior Pudding, or “Duff,” which it furnishes to them.

The decisive opinion of “ The Lancet," and other important testimonials to the value of this invention, render lengthened remark unnecessary. G. H. E. may be permitted, however, to briefly state that “JONES'S PATENT FLOUR” is almost indispensable to Families in the Country (where Yeast is with difficulty obtained) for the manufacture of Bread: while for domestic Cake MAKING, PASTRY, PUDDINGS &c., the “PATENT FLOUR" will doubtless supersede all other kinds, little as no skill being required to ensure a good article.

G. H. E. invites attention to the greatly improved quality of his BRUNSWICK BREAD, FRENCH ROLLS, FANCY and other Biscuits, resulting from the use of the PATENT FLOUR. Also, a new article, LUNCHEON CAKE, in immense demand at Bristol ; SEED CAKE, &c.

Prospectuses with Testimonials may be had on application.
