Open daily, except Sundays, for medical students, but not generally to the public; still tickets may be procured of Dr. Lindley, and at Apothecaries' Hall. The gardens have been recently much improved. Lectures are given on Botany in the summer. HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY'S, Chiswick. Open daily; admission by tickets, granted by Members of the Society, at 3s. 6d. each, if purchased before the 5th of April; after that date, 5s.; and on the days of exhibition, 10s. each. Here are three annual exhibitions, usually in May, June, and July, of new, useful and ornamental plants, shrubs, trees, &c. Established 1818. KEW. Open on Sundays and Thursdays, from 12 till sunset, from Midsummer till the beginning of October. The Botanical Garden and Arboretum, daily from 1 to 3, all the year, Sundays excepted; admission free. Besides the gardens, there are the Pagoda, Temple of Victory, Ruined Archways, &c.; the taste of which is rather questionable. VAUXHALL, Lambeth. Open only in summer, every evening, Saturday and Sunday excepted, charge, 2s. These gardens are splendidly illuminated with thousands of variegated lamps. The amusements consist of vocal, instrumental and theatrical performances, concluding with a brilliant display of fireworks. ZOOLOGICAL, Regent's Park. Open daily from 10 to dusk, admission Is. Belonging to an association of gentry, who, some years ago, united to form this establishment, with a view of rendering the public more familiar with the various classes of animal life. Originated in the year 1825, under the auspices of Sir Humphry Davy, then President of the Royal Society. The collection is extremely various, interesting, and valuable. ZOOLOGICAL, Surrey, Manor Place, Walworth. Open daily from 9 to dusk, admission, 1s. This is a rare collection of animals, most extensive and curious, belonging to an individual of great experience. The grounds realize all that the imagination can picture of beauty in an English garden. In summer there are fêtes, fireworks, &c.
