come into the world to save sinners?

Hast Thou not said, Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled?? Behold me waiting at the gate of Thy mercy, to be fed with the bread of life. Reject me not; send me not Mark viii. 3. away fasting, lest I faint by the way". O my God! I plead His Name alone, in whom all fulness dwells. Heb. vii. 25. Saviour! intercede for met! PRAYER

FOR ONE IN AFFLICTION.

O THOU! who afflictest not willingly, nor grievest

O God! Thine hand is very heavy upon me; Thine arrows stick fast in me. Mine iniquities are gone over my head as an heavy burden; they are too heavy for me. I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sink. Help me to bear Thine indignation, for I have sinned against Thee'; help

O God of Love! speak peace to my troubled breast. Say unto my soul, I am Thy salvation". In this my day of trouble I call upon Thee; O help me, and deliver me, that I may glorify Thee. May I search and try my ways; may I be zealous and repent"; and do Thou, for Christ's sake, forgive me all my sins.

Help me to bear my trials with resignation, and let me not sorrow as those who have no hope. O w 2 Cor. xii. 9. let me feel Thy grace sufficient for me", and looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith,

may I be enabled to run with patience the race that
