40 And if any man will sue thee

at the law, and take away thy coat,

let him have thy cloak also.

41 And whosoever shall compel

thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42 Give to him that asketh thee,

and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43 Ye have heard that it hath

been said, Thou shalt love thy neigh

bour, and hate thine enemy.

44 But I say unto you, Love your

enemies, bless them that curse you,

do good to them that hate you, and

pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45 That ye may be the children

of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the

evil and on the good, and sendeth

rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love

you, what reward have ye? do not

even the publicans the same?

47 And if ye salute your brethren

only, what do ye more than others ?

do not even the publicans so?

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even

as your Father which is in Heaven

is perfect.

CHAPTER VI.

AKE heed that ye do not your

Talms before men, to be seen of

them otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. 2 Therefore when thou doest

thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth :

4 That thinealrns may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

第六章
弟的安有甚麼比人强的呢稅吏不也是這樣麼所以你們應當完全像你們在天上的父完全一樣

雨給善八也給惡人你們單愛那愛你們的人還能有甚麽賞賜呢稅吏不也是這樣麼你們單請你兄

你們要小心不可在人面前施捨故意叫·

5 | And when thou prayest, thou

shalt not be as the hypocrites are:

for they love to pray standing in

the synagogues and in the corners

of the streets, that they may be

seen of men. Verily I say unto you,

They have their reward.

6 But thou, when thou prayest,

enter into thy closet, and when thou

hast shut thy door; pray to thy Fa

ther which is in secret; and thy

Father which seeth in secret shall

reward thee openly.

7 But when ye pray, use not vain

repetitions, as the heathen do: for

they think that they shall be heard

for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto

them for your Father knoweth

what things ye have need of, before

ye ask him.

9 After this manner therefore

18 That thou appear not unto

men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father

which seeth in secret shall reward

thee openly.

19 | Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal :

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

21 For where your treasure is,

there will your heart be also.

22 The light of the body is the

eye: if therefore thine eye be single,

23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness !

24 f No man can serve two masters for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought

for raiment ? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

33 Butseek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow : for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

CHAPTER VII.

UDGE not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and

with what measure ye mete, it shall

be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that

is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye;

and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

6 | Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your

pearls before swine, lest they trample

them under their feet, and turn

again and rend you.

假先知那樣人到你們這裏來外面像羊裏面是豺狼你們看他們所結的果子就可以認出他們來荆棘裏豈能摘葡萄呢 門因爲領到滅亡地方的門是寬的路是大的進去的人多領到永生地方的門是窄的路是小的找著的人少 你們謹防 豈不更將好處賜給求他的人麽你們要人怎樣待你們你們也當怎樣待人這就是律法和先知書的大旨〇你們要進窄 們中間誰有兒子求餅倒給他石頭呢求魚倒給他蛇呢你們雖然不好尙且知道拏好東西給兒女何況你們在天上的父 你們祈求就必給你們尋找就必尋見叩門就必給你們開門因爲凡祈求的就得著尋找的就尋見叩門的就給他開門你
