Sugar will always catch more flies than vinegar. It is easier far to lead of bluster. There's only one life than to drive, and it saves a deal to lead on earth and it doesn't pay to get in a stew about nothing. Let the cattle chew the cud and the pigs snore when you go into the barn. It is the quiet strokes that tell. A sour-tempered man can't keep his help long, and the boys are glad to leave the farm as soon as they can get away. There's a little time now to look after the tools, and do any little mending they may need before the hurry of spring work begins. It is best to be ready to go ahead when you get at it. The stock must be well fed now, and the pigs and the hens well taken care of. Sheep and cows that are soon to come in, need extra care, and the mangolds are just what they want. It's a pity you don't raise more roots. Hadn't you better. look about for a spot to except put in an acre of mangolds and 28 Th. High tides. Gen. Geo, H. Thomas another of swedes? You'll find 29 Fr.
