TAYLOR'S DIAMOND

COMBINED

Writing and Copying Ink.

A NEW AND BEAUTIFUL SHADE.

THIS NEW INK

We now offer to the Trade has been before the public for some time, and has attained an extensive reputation. The DIAMOND INK is well adapted for commercial and business purposes, is a positive color,

AND WILL COPY.

This Diamond Ink possesses the following superior qualities:

1. It is a permanent color, and is warranted not to fade; it has been thoroughly tested by both heat and light, and will stand either as well as any Ink made.

2. It will not corrode the pen in the least.

3. It is of that peculiar shade so pleasant to the eye, producing a full impression at once, as the color does not change like other fluids.

4. It flows beautifully, and will give a good copy.

5. Freezing does not injure it. As a School Ink, and for ladies' use, it is superior to anything in the market, as it does not thicken up, or corrode the pen, as all cheap inks do. This Ink has already been quite extensively introduced into schools with the most satisfactory results.

It is put up in 1, 2 and 4 oz. square flint-glass fancy bottles, one dozen in a neat paper box, and packages of half a gross each. Also in School and Commercial Stands, 4 dozen packed in a box; and in half-pints, pints and quarts, new style bottles, of one dozen each, all neatly labelled and securely boxed for shipping.

TO PATRONS AND CORRESPONDENTS.

OUR 80th Number! Fourscore years! During these eight decades what wonderful changes have taken place in our country! What development and growth! Our domain has been increased fivefold; our population tenfold! What wonderful inventions and discoveries have been madel-railways, steamboats, telegraphs, sewing-machines, reaping-machines, steam-ploughs, photography, anæsthetic agents! What great questions have been settled!

Our grateful acknowledgments are due to our host of patrons for the favor with which our Almanac has been received. We have endeavored, this year, to give as large an amount of the most useful and entertaining matter as our space would permit - worth, it is believed, many times the sum asked for the Almanac.

The tides are given, as heretofore, on the quarter hour nearest the actual time. A distinction in the tides is given, in the right hand calendar pages, into low and very low, high and very high. A tide table for different ports is given on page 47. Copies of this Almanac of the years 1793 and 1795 are wanted. Address the publishers.

"It is by our works, and not by our words, we would be judged: these, we hope, will sustain us in the humble though proud station we have so long held....
