Father unto whose home every human soul shall return and live in the shadow of His Glory. Peace and happiness be to mankind, for several hundred prophecies beyond man's knowledge were all fulfilled in the Appearance of Beha 'U'llah, and assured us, as Christ taught, life eternal, and redemption.

From a scientific standpoint, it seems that Dr. Wilson's knowledge of geography and mathematics was veiled by his prejudiced spirit which is struggling to put down the Behai religion right or wrong. For the established scientific facts of this question are as follows:

First: The inhabitants of the Northern Hemisphere which extends from the Equator to the North Pole, are not less than ninety per cent of the whole number of the souls of mankind. Beside this, the land upon which the vegetable kingdom grows, which is situated between the equator and the North Pole, is about ninety per cent of the whole territory on the face of the globe.

Second: The 21st day of March is the day or the line of the equinoctial point, when the nights are equal to the days in length all over the world. This is the scientific and natural line which distinguishes and separates the past year from the new one, in both the northern and the southern hemispheres. So you see that if the above mentioned biblical and scientific standpoints be analyzed and realized as they should be, we find great wisdom. and mercy in changing the calendar. For it was done in order to unite all different nations who

have different New Years into one feast and one natural and scientific New Year. Also it teaches us the science of why and how hath God created mankind and devised the material creation. Indeed, the teachings of Beha 'U'llah lead the people of understanding into a wonderful and scientific knowledge.

Creation.

If we study what Beha 'U'llah revealed concerning the beginning of creation and reach the depths of its scientific significance, we will certainly conceive that His Divine doctrines excel all other revelations that came before or shall come after Him. He said in the Book of Wisdom the following:

"And that which thou hast mentioned concerning the beginning of creation, is a state which differentiateth according to the variation of minds and understandings. If thou will state, it existed and shall continue to be, it is true. And if thou will repeat that which was mentioned in the Holy Scriptures, there be no doubt in it, because it was revealed on the part of God, the Lord of the worlds. Verily, He was a Hidden Treasure; and this is a state, which cannot be described by phrase nor reckoned by symbol. In another state-I wished to be known. And thus God was and the creation (universe) was in His Shadow (knowledge) from the beginning which has no beginning, yet, it was preceded by a beginning which cannot be comprehended by anyone, though very learned and very wise."

"This existence had existed before, but, it was not as thou seest it today. And that which is existing was produced by the heat which emanated from the mixture of the modifier and the modified, which is the same one, yet, it is something else. Thus doth this Greatest Manifestation inform thee from this Great Form."

The above mentioned texts teach that God created mankind, because, He (the Hidden Treasure) wished to be known; and that the object of our creation is, to know Him and enjoy His graces, gifts and glory. Also, we learn therefrom that the creation was in the shadow (knowledge) of God from the beginning which has no beginning. This phrase "beginning which has no beginning, or end which has no ending" sounds absurd and contradictory; for we are accustomed to think that a beginning must have a beginning, likewise, an end must have an ending. Dr. Wilson on pages 77 and 78, said: "Is not Bahaism a mass of assertions? For example, Baha declares that 'the universe hath neither beginning nor ending." Now I will prove to the Doctor that it is a scientific fact, that every beginning has no beginning and every end has no ending and the universe was accordingly created from a beginning which has no beginning to an end which has no ending.

After pondering and meditating days and rights in order to understand the hidden meaning of the "beginning which has no beginning and the end which has no ending," the secret was divulged and the significance fully dawned on me. So I praised

God and determined to explain that which I received and give it to the world of science and religion. It is as follows:

God said: "I am the Al-pha and the O-me-ga, the beginning and the ending," yet He is self-existent and has no beginning nor ending. Therefore He is the beginning which has no beginning, and the end which has no ending.

And inasmuch as the creation was in the Shadow (knowledge) of God from the beginning which has no beginning, and as that which is made partakes of and reflects the nature and attributes of the maker, therefore the creation (universe) has no beginning nor ending, or it has a beginning which has no beginning and an end which has no ending.

Now, let us investigate and see if it is a scientific fact used and practiced in all the movements, the changes, and the modifications in this known universe as far as man's knowledge can reach and extend.

In order to simplify this question and facilitate its comprehension, let us take the equinoctial point, the precise time in which the sun enters into the first point of Aries. This is the 21st day of March, when the nights and days are equal in length, and the New Year to which Beha 'U'llah changed the calendar. It is marked by a line extending from said point of March 21st, into the point of September 21st, dividing the orbit on which the earth revolves around the sun into two halves as is shown in this sketch:
