1 General J. W. Cleveland served in the first Burmese war and was present at Wattygaum and Nappadee (Meda with Clasp).

2 General G. Warren served with the 1st European Bengal Fusiliers at the siege of Bhurtpore in 1826 under Lord Combermere, and commanded one of the two Companies selected to escalade at the Jungeena Gate-received a severe sabre wound on the right shoulder, a severe sabre wound on the left side of the face, and a third severe wound on the left hand causing amputation of the thumb and the loss in the use of the fore and middle fingers (Indian Medal with Clasp). Served with the Army of the Indus in Affghanistan in 1839 under Lord Keane and was present at the assault and capture of Ghuznee, again severely wounded-bone of the right arm above the elbow shattered by a musket ball, a gun-shot wound through the upper part of the left wrist, and a third gun-shot wound over the surface of the body (Medal, 3rd Class of the Dooranee Order, and Brevet of Lt.Colonel). The severe nature of these wounds causing temporary removal from active service, he was sent back to India in charge of the state prisoners Goolam Hyder late Governor of Ghuznee, and the Sirdar Hadjee Khan Kakur, with the Column moving through the Kyber Pass. Was specially brought to the notice of the Governor General of India by Sir Willoughby Cotton commanding the Bengal Troops in Affghanistan for gallant conduct at Ghuznee, and was nominated Town and Fort Major of Fort William. On the breaking out of the Burmese war in 1852 was promoted Brigadier, and nominated to the command of the Bengal Brigade of the Expeditionary Force. Was on board the steam-frigate Tenasserim with two Companies of the 18th Royal Irish during the Naval action and destruction of the enemy's stockades on the Rangoon river; was removed from the field during the second day's attack on the Great Pagoda from the effects of a severe sun-stroke (Medal with Clasp).

3 General J. Bell served in the Mahratta war and was present at the siege of Asseerghur. Served also throughout the Burmese war of 1824-26, including the capture of Rangoon, Cokaine, Prome, and Pagaum Mew, and all the affairs in which the Head Quarters of the force under Sir Archibald Campbell were engaged (Medal with Clasp). General J. E. Williams served in the latter part of the first Burmese war.

General T. L. Green was employed against the insurgent Royanah in the Kittoor district in 1830, and in the Goomsoor Zemindary in 1836-37, and in 1847.

7 General W. Cavaye served with the 21st Bombay N.I. in the field force in Kutch in 1825-26; also with the Parkur Field Force in 1832-33; was present at the taking of Balmeer; served in Upper Sind, and above the Bolan Pass in 1840-41.

10 General C. Hamilton served the Gwalior campaign of 1843-44 and was present at the battle of Maharajpore (Bronze Star, and CB.). Served throughout the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, and was present at the battles of Moodkee and Ferozeshah (Medal and Clasp); also with the expedition to Kote Kangra.

11 General E. Armstrong was present in the several affairs in which the Head Quarters 34th Madras Native Infantry were engaged with the enemy in the vicinity of Rangoon from its landing with the first expedition till the end of October 1824, including a series of attacks on the enemy's position at Todaghee and Kyakloo 5th to 7th October 1824. Commanded 34th N.I. in the action fought at Zorapore with Patun, Arab, and Rohilla Troops in which he personally captured the Nawab.

1 General P. F. Story served throughout the campaign in Sind in 1843 under Sir Charles Napier, and was present at the battles of Meeanee and Hyderabad (Medal, CB., and Brevet of Lt.Colonel).

16 General H. Lawrence served on board the Astell East Indiaman in command of two guns on her quarter deck in a severe action fought in the Mozambique Channel on 3rd July 1810, between three Indiamen and two French frigates and a corvette. Served in the operations against and attack of the Fortress of Malown in the Nepaul was of 1814-15 (Medal with Clasp). Served with Reserve of the Grand Army during the Mahratta campaign of 1817-193 also against Coles in 1835, and in command of a Brigade of all arms employed against same Tribes in 1836–37.. 17 General R. Budd was engaged in the Pindaree Dours in 1815-16. Served during the whole of the Mahratta campaign 1817-18, and was present at Mahidpore, Talnair, pursuits of Trimbuckjee, Holkar, and Bajee Row to the final surrender near Asseerghur. Served in the first expedition to Burmah. Also with the advance of the Western Column in the campaign against Coorg 1834, and was present at the forcing of the Huggul Pass in April 1834. 18 General H. Dick served in Rewah in 1813; and in the Mahratta and Pindaree war in 1817-18, including the reduction of Dhamony, and the storm and capture of Gurrah Mundiah. Commanded the 56th Bengal Native Infantry at the battle of Maharajpore 29th Dec. 1843 (Bronze Star, and Brevet of Lt.Colonel).

19 General D. Downing served in the Punjaub campaign in 1848-49 with the Division under Brigadier Wheeler (Medal).

20 General T. C. Parr served with the 7th Bombay N.I. in the expedition to Arabia in 1821, and was present at the night attack by the Wahabees on the camp at Zoar, and in the action at Beni-boo-Ali; commanded the 7th N.I. in the campaign in the Southern Maratha Country in 1845.

21 General T. Polwhele served in the Nepaul campaign in 1816 (Medal with Clasp); with the Expedition to Ceylon in 1818, in the Burmese war in 1824-25 including the attack and capture of Mahatee and Arracan (Clasp), Also throughout the campaigns in Candahar and Affghanistan of 1839-42, and served as Assistant Adjutant General throughout the operations of the Candahar Force under General Nott (Medal, and Brevet of Major). Commanded the 42nd Bengal Native Infantry throughout the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, and was present at the battles of Moodkee, Ferozeshah, and Sobraon-wounded (Medal and two Clasps, and Brevet of Lt.Colonel).

22 Sir John Fowler Bradford served the campaign of 1842 in Affghanistan and was present in the several engage ments leading to the reoccupation of Cabul (Medal). Served in the Gwalior campaign of 1843-44 and was present at the battle of Maharajpore (Bronze Star, and Brevet of Major). Served in the Sutlej campaign in 1846, including the action of Aliwal (Medal, and Brevet of Lt.Colonel). Punjaub campaign of 1848-49, including the passage of the Chenab, and actions of Chillianwallah and Goojerat (Medal with two Clasps, and CB.).

23 General H. Macan served on the Personal Staff of the General Officer Commanding Sind Field Force; and as Assistant Adjutant General in Sind and Affghanistan in 1841; commanded the 1st Brigade at the siege and in the assault and capture of Kotah on the 30th March 1858 (CB. and Medal).

24 General T. A. Duke served with the expedition to Ava in 1824-25, and was present at the capture of Ran goon on the 11th May 1824, at assault and capture of stockade near, and attack of Kimmendine 3rd June, attack and taking of Kimmendine roth and 11th June, 7 stockades at Kammoral, fort and fortified Pagoda of Syriam 3rd August at the Dallah Creek stockade 7th August, taking of Pegu 30th November, and attack on the Burmese intrenchment 5th December, night attack of Dallah stockades 7th and 8th December 1824, attack of Poolong 19th February 1825, capture of White Pagoda stockade, and attack on Donabew 7th March 1825, and several other minor affairs, and also night attack on the Flotilla till 2nd April when Donabew was evacuated (Medal with Clasp). Served in the expedition to Malacca in 1852, and with the second expedition to Burmah 1852-53 (Medal with Clasp for Pegu). Com manded the Kimedy Field Force in November and December 1856.

25 General J. C. C. Gray served during the Nepaul war. Also at the siege and capture of Bhurtpore in 1825-30 (Medal with Clasp).

26 General M. Carthew served in the Goomsoor campaign in 1837. Also in the suppression of the mutiny ir Bengal in 1857-58, and was present in the actions of the 26th 27th and 28th November 1857 in the vicinity of Cawnpore when attacked by the whole of the Gwalior Contingent (Medal, and CB.).

27 General F. B. Corfield served during the Punjaub campaign of 1848-49, and was present at the actions of Chillianwalla and Goojerat (Medal with two Clasps, and Brevet of Lt. Colonel).

2 General R. A. Bayly served in the Persian Gulf in 1820; against the Khosas in the Runn of Kutch in 1822 and with the 6th Bombay N.I. at the attack and capture of Kittoor in 1824.

30 General D. Simpson served in command of a Force against the rebels in the hills north of Jullunder in 1848-49, and was present at the storming of the heights of Umb and subsequent occupation of the fort of Oonab Medal with Clasp.

33 Sir Neville Chamberlain served throughout the Afghan campaigns of 1839-42, during which he was attached Christie's Corps of Irregular Cavalry, and was wounded on six different occasions and has received the Meda
