As Hume served with the 38th Regt. the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, and was present at the battle tee and fall of Sebastopol, was Aide de Camp to Sir John Campbell on the expedition to Kertch, and the Redan on the 18th June, in which the Major General was killed; was D.A.A.G. 3rd Division from dial with three Clasps, Brevet of Major, Knight of the Legion of Honor, 5th Class of the Medjidie. Medal). Served in India with the 38th from 12th Nov. 1857 to 9th August 1858; was present at the "ture of Lucknow, and with Grant's Division during the summer campaign in Oude, including several Medal with Clasp).

Hardlinge served with the Rifle Brigade in the Kaffir war of 1846-47; and in that of 1852-53 (Medal). pedition against the insurgent Boers N.E. of the Great Orange River in Aug. 1848, when he was ghtly wounded in the action at Boem Plaats. Served the Eastern campaign of 1854, including the **im and Inkerman, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, Brevet of Major, 5th Class of the Tarkish Medal).

maville served with the 23rd Fusiliers in the Eastern campaign of 1854, including the battles of Alma , and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal). Joined Lord Clyde's Army - on 14th Nov. 1857, and was at the relief of the garrison; also at the defeat of the Gwalior Continre on 6th December, and at the fall of Lucknow in Mar. 1858 (Brevet of Major, Medal with two Clasps). Walan landed in the Crimea on 30th June 1855 with the 13th Light Infantry, and was present at the Thermaya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).

in Birke served with the Cape Mounted Rifles in the Kaffir war of 1850-51 (Medal); and in 1852-53 in Lover Territory, where he commanded several successful patrols.

the Lowndes served with the 47th Regt. throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the A and Inkerman, capture of Balaklava, siege and fall of Sebastopol, sortie of 25th Oct., and storming mus on 7th June-severely wounded (Medal with three Clasps, Brevets of Major and Lt.Colonel, Knight of of linor, Sardinian and Turkish Medals, and 5th Class of the Medjidie).

Wallack served with the 9th Regt. throughout the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, and was present at the
Codkee, Ferozeshah, and Sobraon (Medal and two Clasps).

arke served with the 10th Hussars in the Crimean campaign from 17th April 1855, including the siege ~hostopol, capture of Tchorgaum, battle of the Tchernaya where he commanded a squadron in support ise Artillery, and an affair with the Cossacks near Kertch (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Aman served eighteen years in the Bengal Army, including the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, and attle of Sobraon (Medal). Punjab campaign of 1848-49 (Medal), with General Wheeler's Field Mariny campaigns of 1857-58, including the siege and capture of Delhi, action of Bolundshur, and (Medal with two Clasps), and was awarded the Victoria Cross for having, when commanding the on the advanced picquet, with 100 of his men, attacked and utterly routed a body of 500 rebel 205 me, and 2 gans, cutting up more than roo men, capturing the two guns, and driving the surviving * and over the Goomtec. This feat was performed under every disadvantage of broken ground and the flanking ure of an adjoining fort. On this occasion he received a severe sabre wound in the avencounter with several of the enemy, the effects of which compelled him to retire on half pay. Free served the Eastern campaign of 1854 and up to 9th Feb. 1855 with the 79th Highlanders, ottles of Alms and Balaklava, und siege of Sebastopol (Medal with three Clasps, and Turkish Medal). *.*on was present when the batteries of Obligado in the River Parana were attacked and carried, fat. Served on the China expedition of 1857-59, including the blockade of the Canton river, the landing mavi capture of the city. Served as Provost Marshal to the expedition, and afterwards as D.A.A. - Army in garrison at Canton (Brevet of Major). Served the campaign in the north of China in 1860. wrion of Smho, taking of Tongoo, storm and capture of the North Takoo fort (mentioned in dei-insegment operations (Medal with three Clasps, and Brevet of Lt.Colonel).

ved with the 18th Royal Irish in the Burmese war of 1852-53 (Medal with Clasp for Pegu), from 30th Dec. 1854, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol and assault of the 18th June- CIndal with Clasp, Turkish Medal, and 5th Class of the Medjidie). Also in India during the latter * of 1:57-58, and served for many months with a field force in the Deccan.

mehame served with the 70th Highlanders in the Crimean campaign of 1854 up to 26th Nov., and th Feb. 1855, including the battles of Alma and Balaklava, and siege of Sebastopol (Medal with A farkish Medal).

ved the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 in the 47th Regt., including the battles of Alma and ***are of Balaklava, siege of Sebastopol, and sortie on 26th Oct. (Medal with three Clasps, Sardinian ls, and 5th Class of the Medjidie).

Colonel Stewart served throughout the campaign in Syria in 1840,-at the Camp at D'Jouni as Acting Enginee the storm and capture of Sidon, surrender of Beyront, bombardment and capture of St. Jean d'Acre (War Medi with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Served also on the West Coast of Africa from 1841 to 1844; commanded a de tachment of Marines at the destruction of several Barracoons in 1842 and liberated 1,200 slaves at Kabenda, Ambru Black Point, Loango, Punta da Linha, 25 miles up the river Congo; and a second time at Kabenda, three mile inland, when he was attacked by a much superior force, and after liberating the slaves and destroying the barr coons effected a safe retreat to the beach with three men mortally wounded, closely pressed by a large for of armed Africans (mentioned in despatches). Served with the battalion of Royal Marines sent to Japan from råt to 1866, and was present at the bombardment of the batteries at the Straits of Simonosaki, the entrance of th inland sea of Japan, on the 5th and 6th Sept. 1864.

25 Lt.Colonel Sandeman served with the 1st Royal Dragoons in the Crimean campaign from the 6th Oct. 185 and was present at the battles of Balaklava, Inkerman and Tchernaya, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal wi three Clasps, and Turkish Medal).

28 Lt.Colonel Henry served in the 86th Regt. with the Malwa, Nerbudda, and Central India Field Force in 1857-5 and was present at the siege and capture of Dhar, actions of Mundesoor and Goodarea, siege storm and capture Chundaree, and also of the fort and town of Jhansi, battles of Betwa and Koonch, actions at and in front of Calpe battle of Gowlowlee, capture of Calpee, battle of Morar, actions of the 16th and 19th June, and capture of the tow and fortress of Gwalior, acted as Aide de Camp to Brigadier Stuart in most of the latter engagements (Medal wat Clasp, four times mentioned in despatches, and Brevet of Major).

27 Major Wyatt served with the 14th Light Dragoons in the Persian expedition of 1857 (Medal with Claep). Als in the Central India Field Force under Sir Hugh Rose in 1858 and was present at the siege and capture of Rahu'g' action of Barodia, relief of Saugor, capture of Gurrakota, forcing the Muddunpore Pass, siege and capture Jhansi (Medal with Clasp).

28 Captain Campbell-Walker served in the 79th Highlanders in the Crimea subsequent to the fall of Sebast p from 14th March 1856 to the end of the Russian War. Served also throughout the Indian campaign in 1853-19 Aide de Camp to Brigadier Douglas, including the operations across the Goomtee, siege and capture of Luckno and subsequent operations on the March to the relief of Azimghur (mentioned in despatches, Medal with Ca-p) 31 Major Wingfield served with the 1st Dragoon Guards throughout the campaign of 1860 in China, and was p sent at the fall of the Takn Forts, and engaged in the action of Sinho, also those of the 18th and 21st Septemb Commanded the Cavalry force sent to Tungchon with Mr. Wade to demand the giving up of the prisoners ont 20th September, and present at the surrender of Pekin (Medal with two Clasps).

3 Lieutenant Malcolmson served in the 3rd Bombay Light Cavalry with the Persian Expeditionary Force 1856-57, including the assault and capture of Reshire, surrender of Bushire, expedition to Borazjoon, and achet Khooshab (Medal with Clasp, and Victoria Cross). Served also with the Central India Field Force, including siege of Ratghur and fall of Calpee (Medal with Clasp).

33 Mr. Waller served in the Oude campaign in 1858, including the capture of the fort of Kaili (Medal).

34 Colonel Master commanded the 5th Fusiliers at the relief of Lucknow in Nov. 1857, and served with # Outram's Force at the Alum Bagh in all the operations of the succeeding months, and commanded the Regt, nå capture of Lucknow, as also throughout the Oude campaign of 1858-59, including the action of Dounderkeirat Buxarghat, and capture of the Fort of Oomerea (several times mentioned in despatches, CB., Medal with Clasp, #3 year's service).

35 Mr. T. Williams served with the 10th Hussars in the Crimea from the 6th July to the 1st October 1855, includ the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).

37 Major P. L. Tillbrook served with the 50th Regiment in the Crimea from the 22nd August 1855, including siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal).

38 Lt.Colonel H. P. Vance served with the 38th Regiment in the Crimea from January to the 15th April 145 cluding the siege of Sebastopol (Medal with Clasp, and Turkish Medal). Also in the Indian campaign from 1857, and was present at the storm and capture of Meeangunge, siege and capture of Lucknow, affairs of Ba and Nuggur (mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Major, Medal with Claep).

39 Captain Noel served with the 31st Regiment throughout the Sutlej Campaign of 1845-46, and was presen the battles of Moodkee, Ferozeshah, Buddiwal, Aliwal, and Sobraon (Medal and three Clasps).

Major M J. Battye was present with the field force under Brigadier England in all its operations on its soo advance on and return from Kandahar in 1841-42. Also with Colonel Wymer's Brigade in the Urghandauo vali Present at the battle of Hyderabad (Medal). Joined his regiment (the 21st) at the commencement of the onthu in the Southern Konkan. Served on General Outram's staff with the Light Field Force in Sawunt Warree. Prest at the siege and occupation of Munohur and Munsontosh. Engaged with the advanced guard at Golior, a Jan. 1845, and at Moolis, 6th February-horse shot under him.

42 Lt.Colonel S. H. Clerke served with the 21st Fusiliers in the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including the battle Alma, siege and fall of Sebastopol, attack of the Redan on the 18th June, where he commanded the scaling-balt party, and was mentioned in despatches; served as Adjutant at the fall of Sebastopol and expedition to Kit Medal with two Clasps, Sardinian and Turkish Medals).

Lt.Colonel Cooch served with the 62nd Regiment in the Crimea from 12th Nov. 1854, including the siege : fall of Sebastopol and the sorties of the 5th 9th and 10th May, defence of the Quarries 7th June, assaults of Redan on the 18th June (in command of the Wool-bag party of his regiment) and 8th September (mentioned despatches, Brevet of Major, Medal with Clasp, Knight of the Legion of Honor, 5th Class of the Medjidie, Sardi and Turkish Medals). Appointed Town Major in Sebastopol immediately after its fall for his services during siege and final assault.

43 Colonel E. Brown served throughout the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, including the battles of Ferozeshah Sobraon (Medal and Clasp). Burmese war of 1852-53, including the recapture of Pegu on 21st Nov., relief of garrison on 14th Dec., and operations in the vicinity (Medal with Clasp for Pegu). Suppression of the Ind mutiny, including the battle of Budleekeserai, siege of Delhi and assault of the Eedgate, wounded in five places one dangerously (Brevet of Major. Medal with Clasp). 47 Major Brackenbury served with the 61st Regiment in the Punjaub campaign of 1848-49, and was present at battle of Goojerat, and with the Field Force in pursuit of the enemy to the Khyber Pass in February and M 1849 (Medal with Clasp). Present with the expedition to the Euzofzie Country and at the attack and capturi insurgent villages on the 11th and 14th Dec. 1849 (Medal with Clasp). Served with the rank of Captain with Turkish Contingent and performed duty as an EngineerOfficer in the Crimea in 1855-56 (Turkish Medal). 48 Lt.Colonel Scott served with the 42nd Highlnders throughout the Eastern campaign of 1854-55, including battles of Alma and Balaclava, exredition to Kertch and Yenikale, siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal with. Clasps, 5th Class of Medjidie and Turkish Medal). Served also the campaign of 1857-58 against the mutines ndia, including the actions at Cawnpore (6th Dec. 1857), Seraighat, Khodagunj, Shumsabad, siege and f Lucknow and assault of the Martiniere and Banks' Rungalow, attack on the Fort of Rooyah, action at Ally attack and capture of Bareilly (Medal with Clasp). Embarked for the Gold Coast with the 42nd Highlanders served throughout the second phase of the Ashanti war in 1874. Was present at the battle of Amoaful; comar the Regiment at the capture and destruction of Becquah (mentioned in Sir A. Alison's report to Sir Garnet Wols 28 having had the particular direction of the withdrawal of the Rear Guard), battle of Ordahsu (slight won the head and capture of Coomasie, and with the 42nd formed the Rear Guard during the burning of the city. on every day's march until the arrival of the Forces at the Adansi Hills (mentioned in despatches, Breve Lt.Colonel, CB., Medal with Clasp).

Colonel Buller served with the 57th Regiment in the Fastern campaign of 1854, and was veT SEVE wounded in the trenches before Sebastopol, and again whilst being carried back to the camp (Medal and Turkish Medal).

Hume served the Eastern campaign of 1854-55 with the 95th Regt. ineluding the battles of the Alma *d, borse killed under him, and mentioned in despatches) and Inkerms (severely wounded-shot through , cge and fall of Sebastopol, and sortie of 26th October in command of the Regiment; he succeeded themand of the Regiment at Inkerman, and received the Brevet of Lt.Colonel (Medal with three Clasps, 4t of the Legion of Honor, 4th Class of the Medjidie, and Turkish Medal). Was recommended for the ress by Lt. General Sir De Lacy Evans for an act of special and useful valour at an important moment se of the Alma in having seized a Colour and led over the bridge, the officers previously bearing it struck down by the enemy's fire."

Sutton has received the 4th Class of the Medjidie and the Turkish Medal, for services with the late ingent.

de Rottenburgh served in Canada during the rebellion and received the Brevet rank of Major for serst employed on a particular service.

Saunders served at Sierra Leone and the Gambia from 1836 to 1841; was present with the force in the interior in 1837; employed on a special mission to convey despatches to the French at , commanded the troops at a riot at the Gambia in 1838, and whilst at night patrolling captured a the Indian mutiny, and was mentioned in despatches as having distinguished himself, and for most allant conduct (Brevet of Major, and Medal).
