seen the things which Jesus did, yih kám dekhke, us par ímán believed on him.

46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done. 47¶Then gathered the Chief Priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the High Priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,

50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one. man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. 51 And this spake he not of himself: but being High Priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.

54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.

55 And the Jews' Passover

47 Tab sardár pádr on aur Farision ne ek majlis ikhatthí karke kahá, ki Ham kya karte hain? kyunki yih shakhs bahut sí karámaten dik hátá hai.

48 Agar ham use yúnhín chhore, to sab uspar ímán láwenge: aur Rúmí áwenge, aur hamárí jagah aur qaum ko le lenge.

49 Un men se ek Qayáfá nám ne, jo us baras Sardár Pádrí thá, unhen kahá, ki Tum kuchh nahin jánte,

50 Aur khiyál nahín karte ho, ki ham logon ke liye ek ádmí ká marná us se bhalá hai, ki sárí qaum halák howe.

51 Us ne apní taraf se yih nahín kahá: par us baras ká Sardár Pádrí hoke us ne áge se khabar dí, ki sá us qaum ke wáste maregá;

52 Aur sirf usí qaum ke liye uahín, par isliye bhí, ki wuh Khudá ke bithre húe farzandon ko ikaṭṭhá kare.

53 Isliye unhon ne us roz se use márdálne kí saláh kí.

54 Isí sabab se sá Yahúdíon men khulá húá nahín dikhaí diyá; par wahan se ek jagah men jangal ke nazdík, Afráim nám ek shahr men gayá, aur apne shagirdon ke sath wahín rahá. 55 It ne men Yahúdíon ke

was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves.

56 Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast?

57 Now both the Chief Priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him.

CHAPTER XII.

1 Then Jesus six days before the Passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,

Pár jáne ká parab nazdík húá: aur bahut log parab se age us jagah se Aurshalim ko gae, táki apne taín pák karen.

56 Aur unhon ne Isá kí talásh kí, aur girje men khare hote hue ápas men kahá, ki Tum log kyá samajhte ho, kyá wuh parab men na áwegá?

57 Aur Sardár Pádríon aur Farísíon ne hukm kiyá thá, ki jo koí jántá hai, ki wuh kaháp hai, so dikhláwe, táki we use pakar len.

BARAHWAN BAB. 1 Phir Pár jáne ke parab ke chhah din áge sá Baitainá men áyá, jahán Lázar thá, jise us ne murdon men se jiláyá thá.

2 Wahán unhon ne us ke liye kháná kiya; aur Marsá khidmat kartí thi: par us ke sáth ke kháng wálon men Lázar ek thá.

3 Tab Mariyam ne jațámásí ká ádh ser bará qímatí atr leke sá ke paon par malá, aur apne bálon se unhen ponchhá: aur ghar atr kí khushbú se bhargaya.

4 Tab us ke shagirdon men se ek Shamún ká beta Yahúdá Iskaryútí ne, jo use pakaṛwáyá cháhtá thá, kahá,

cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.

8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.

9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

10 But the Chief Priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;

11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

8 Kyúnki kangál to hamesha tumháre sáth honge; par main hamesha tumháre sáth na húngá. 9 Aur jab Yahúdíon kí ek baṛí jamáąt ne jáná, ki wuh wahán hai, tab we wahan ikhatthe húe sirf Psá ke liye nahín, par Lázar ko bhi dekhne ke liye, jise us ne jiláyá.

10 Isliye Sardár Pádríon ne Lázar ko bhí qatl karne ko tharáyá;

12 Dúsre din bahutse logon ne, jo parab men áe the, yih sunke, ki sá Aursalím men átá hai,

13 Khajúr kí dálíán leke, us kí muláqát ko nikle, aur pukárne

12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Bless-lage, ki Hoshaná: Barakat howe ed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. 14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,

15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.

16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but

14 Aur sá ek gadhá pákar, us par sawár húá; jaisá ki likhá hai,

15 Ki Ai Síhon ke beti, mat ḍar: dekh terá Bádshah ek gadhe ke bachche par sawár hoke átá hai.

16 Us ke shagird shur men ye báten na samjhe; lekin jab

when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

17 The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.

18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle. 19 The Pharisees therefore

said among themselves, perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him. 20 ¶ And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:

21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus. 22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.

23¶ And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

26 If any man serve me, let

sá apní buzurgí ko pahunchá, tab unhon ne yád kiya, ki us ke haqq men aisá likhá thá, aur ki unhon ne us se aisá sulúk kiya.

17 Aur jo log us waqt házir the, unhon ne gawáhí dí, ki Us ne Lázar ko qabr meg se bulake, murdon men se jiláyá.

18 Us kí yih karámat dikháne ke sabab se, ek jamáạt us kí muláqát ko niklí.

hen kuchh fáida nahín? dekho, ki sárí dunyá us ke píchhe húí.

20 Ab jo us parab men bandagi karne áe the, un men báze Yúnání the:

25 Jo ki apní ján ko piyár kartá hai, so use khodega; aur jo is dunyá men apní ján ká dushman hai, so use hamesha ki zindagi tak bacha rakhegá.

26 Agar koi merí khidmat kiyá

him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. 28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glo ́rified it, and will glorify it again.

29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.

30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.

31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince | of this world be cast out.

32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.

34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is the Son of man?

35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon

cháhe, to use chahiye ki mere píchhe píchhe chalá áwe; aur jahán main hún, tahán merá khidmatkarnewálá bhí hogá: agar koi meri khidmat kare, to Bap us kí izzat karega.

31 Ab is dunyá par hukm kiyá játá hai: ab is dunyá ká hákim nikál diyá jáegá.

34 Logon ne jawab men kahá, ki Ham ne shariyat men suná hai, ki Masih hamesha rahegá: phir tú kyúnkar kahta hai, ki Adam ke Farzand ká uṭháyá jáná zarúr hai? yih ádam ká Farzand kaun hai?

35 Tab ṛsá ne unhen kahá, ki Ab unjiyálá aur thorí der tumháre sáth hai. So unjiyále ke rahte húe chale, nahín to andhi
