Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be presented to the Speaker of the House of of Representatives, with the request that it be referred to the Finance Committee, and that committee requested to report by bill or otherwise.

The contract for printing was awarded to the Ohio State Journal, their bid being as follows, and the lowest in the aggregate:

President Carlisle, L. B. Wing, Leo Weltz, and D. L. Pope, of the Executive Committee, met for the purpose of looking after minor preliminary arrangements for the State Fair. A visit was made to the grounds to consult with reference to the location of horse-stalls. The matter of constructing and locating was finally referred to Mr. Charles Smith. The Secretary was instructed to do the necessary bill advertising. Adjourned, to meet at the call of the President.

The Secretary was instructed to correspond with parties having entries in the 3 year old stake trot, relative to re-opening the stake. Agreed, That the appointment of the paid cattle judges be referred to Messrs. Baker and Wing, and the paid judges of sheep to Messrs. Cowden and Wales.

The Board adjourned to meet on the Fair Grounds at 2 P. M.

STATE FAIR GROUND, 2 P. M.

Time spent in looking over the grounds and buildings to ascertain the necessary improvements and repairs, when it was agreed to meet again at the Agricultural rooms at 73 P.M.

HALF-PAST SEVEN P. M.

The following resolution was adopted:

Resolved, That the treasurer be directed to pay out of the first receipts of the fair the note made by the members of the Board, discounted by Hayden's bank, and also any over drafts on said bank at that time, in accordance with nnderstanding with Hayden & Co. at the time the note was discounted.

Ordered, That the compliments of the Board be extended to the officers of Northern Ohio, Southern Ohio, Tri-State and Central Ohio Fair Associations, and that they be invited to attend the ensuing fair.

Privileges were granted as follows:

The Secretary was instructed to dispose of other privileges to the best. possible advantage.

Agreed, That considering the danger attached to target shooting, nothing of that nature be permitted on the grounds during the fair.

Mr. Smith was appointed a committee to examine the warm meal stand known as the Squire & Dent stand, and consider the advisability of removing it to some quarter of the ground where it would not so obstruct the view as at present location.

STATE AGRICULTURAL ROOM,
THURTDAY, 8 O'CLOCK, A.M.

The Board, in consultation with Mr. Chas. Moore and Mr. Neil, of the Franklin County Board, agreed that the County Board should proceed to build not less than fifty horse stalls on the Fair Grounds, of such style as they may deem proper, the State Board agreeing to pay one-half the cost of building, providing such one-half shall not exceed the sum of $750, and should the cost of constructing the stalls be such as that the one half shall be less than 750, the State Board to pay simply the half. The Secretary was instructed to invite proposals as follows:

PROPOSALS FOR HAY AND STRAW.

The undersigned, by order of the Board, will receive proposals for the furnishing of 25 tons good, bright, timothy hay, growth of 1879, to be put up in loose pressed bales of 100 pounds each, and delivered on the
